Tirana, 15 October 2025 – The Polytechnic University of Tirana (UPT) organized the national event “Future Skills – Innovating Industry” as part of the HINTS Project (Higher Education and Industry for New Times and Skills), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The event took place at the Aula Magna Room of UPT, bringing together representatives from academia, industry, and youth organizations to discuss how education can better meet the evolving needs of the labor market.
The event opened with welcome remarks from UPT representatives, followed by an introduction to the HINTS Project and its objectives. A keynote presentation by Bankers Petroleum, industry representative, addressed the theme “Bridging the Skills Gap: Preparing for Future Industry Needs,” emphasizing the importance of collaboration between higher education and industry.
A panel discussion featuring university, industry, and youth and education representatives explored how innovation and skills development can drive employability and industry transformation. The session also showcased HINTS Project results in Albania, highlighting successful activities and future cooperation opportunities.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session and closing remarks, reaffirming UPT’s commitment to strengthening university–industry collaboration and supporting youth employability through innovative education
